In the next course item, you will have an opportunity to share your work from this week. You will share your work with your peers to showcase what you’ve learned so far and to take a few pointers from what your peers have done. You will share your work in a tool called the Gamut Gallery.

What is the Gamut Gallery Tool?

The tool allows students to upload images or documents to share with the course community in response to an instructor’s prompt. When uploading a submission to the Gallery, you will:

To build a strong community of learners, you should take some time to review the submissions of your peers and respond with comments to their posts.

How to Navigate the Gallery Tool

Locating the Gallery : The Gallery Tool launches from a course item that is labeled as an “App Item”. Upon clicking the “App Item”, a page will open that provides you with the instructor's prompt for the Gallery. This prompt will guide you in developing or selecting an artifact that responds to the prompt and crafting your description for your peers to read. Refer back to this prompt as you craft your submission. The bottom of the page asks you to agree to the Coursera Honor Policy. After agreeing to the policy, you will be able to launch into the Gallery in a new tab.

Getting Started : The first time you launch the Gallery Tool, you will be asked to set up your Gallery profile by providing some basic information and selecting your sharing settings. If you have previously used the Gamut Workbook, you will likely skip this page. After completing your profile, you will be redirected to the main screen of the Gallery.

Homepage : Other learners’ Gallery posts will be visible so that you can read through at any time. To submit your own response to the instructor’s prompt, you will need to click on the “Upload Submission” button on the left-hand side of your screen. To construct your submission, complete the required fields by:

You may also add questions for your peers to consider as they review your post. Once you have finished your submission, click the Publish button at the bottom of the page. If you return to the Gallery's homepage, your submission should now be visible.

Browsing : To explore the shared submissions, you can scroll through to view the variety of submissions. To browse in a more targeted way, make use of the filters at the top of the page (if applicable) to sort submissions by the content you are most interested in. To review a specific prompt in detail, click on its tile. Within the tile, you can read over the insight shared by your peer behind their submission. You can also comment within the tile with feedback or questions you might have for them.
