Game Theory II: Course Complete

Hello Folks,
The Advanced Game Theory course is now complete!
We have finished the grading and asked Coursera to issue the certificates to those who satisfied the requirements.  Once the certificates are ready, they will contact you.
Regardless of whether you were just interested in a subset of the material, or the full course - congratulations and thank you for participating!
Your activity in the forums was especially appreciated, and a few shout-outs are due to people who shared a lot of their expertise and thoughts there (and there are too many of you to mention all): Henry George Bottomley, Wolfgang Nádasi-Donner, Sergey Morozov, Jay Viloria, and Abhinav Arya. Finally, there is a post course survey available (under the survey tab on the left of the course page) and your feedback and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you all for making it an enjoyable experience, and best wishes for the future!
KMY

Game Theory II: Course Almost Over!

Hi All,
Just a couple of days left!
Remember that the final exam is due this Sunday evening (by 11:59pm on Feb 21, PST), as are any other materials for partial credit.  Again, you have only ONE attempt at the final exam, and timed four hours from opening it. So please prepare carefully before starting the exam.
We hope that you have enjoyed the course!   We will be in touch again once the grades are tallied, which we will start after the deadline for the final has passed.
best,  KMY

Game Theory II: Last Week of the Course

Hi Folks,
We are about to enter the last week of the course.   Remember that the final exam is due in just over a week  (11:59pm on Feb 21, PST).   Again, you have only ONE attempt at the final exam. So please prepare carefully before starting the exam.  Recall that the time limit is 4 hours and the time begins once you open the exam, so please make sure that you have the appropriate time set aside before you open the exam and a good internet connection.  You can save the answers while you are working on the exam, but the time clock will keep moving, so logging out does not stop the clock.
All of the answers to the final will become visible once the deadline passes.
Have a great week and best wishes for the final!  KMY

Game Theory II: Advanced Applications Now Open!

Hello All,

The course web site for Game Theory II: Advanced Applications https://class.coursera.org/gametheory2-003 is now live!

The first week’s video lectures, slides, quizzes (ungraded), problem set (graded), as well as the forums and syllabus, are all available.

Please take a very careful look through the syllabus.   It contains valuable information about the problem sets, final, grading, forums, and due dates.   For instance, you have two tries on each problem set, with the better of the two scores counting for the grade.   It also contains links to various background readings.  As we said before, this course is a short one, but it moves faster and at a more advanced level than the introductory game theory course - and so the background readings  can help put things in greater perspective - and they provide additional examples and references (and you can get most of the coverage from the free readings).

We look forward to the course! KMY

Game Theory II: Opening Soon!

Hello All,

The course web site for Game Theory II: Advanced Applications https://class.coursera.org/gametheory2-003 will open on Friday evening:  on Jan 8, 2016 at 11:59pm, PST. At that time the site will become live and the first week’s video lectures, slides, quizzes (ungraded), problem set (graded), as well as the forums and syllabus, will all be available.

The course presumes that you are familiar with the material covered in our first course (e.g., Nash equilibrium, dominated strategies, Bayesian equilibrium..., see https://class.coursera.org/gametheory-005 ).

You are welcome to take this more advanced course at your own speed: you can just follow the basic lectures and quizzes (ungraded), you can also complete (graded) problem sets and exam.

Game Theory II course opening

Hello All,

The course web site for Game Theory II: Advanced Applications will open on Sunday Jan 8, 2016 at 11:59pm, PST.

The syllabus contains many additional information, so have a look after the site opens. If you have questions about any of the materials or aspects of the course, please use the forums, and we will monitor those for any urgent issues that arise.

We look forward to the course! KMY
