Well, it's now time to say goodbye for real!

As a parting message, we prepared an extra Module (yes, a "bonus feature", just like in DVDs!) with the following purposes:

  • give you some pointers if you want to learn more about signal processing
  • show you some of the cool research topics in signal processing that are currently being pursued in our lab
  • show you how signal processing translates to the real world by introducing several startups founded by current and former members of our lab

Needless to say, we hope you enjoyed the class; it was a lot of work both for you and for us and hopefully we all learned quite a bit in the process. Once again, thank you for your attentiveness, for all the bugs and typos that you helped us correct and for all the feedback you provided in the forums.

As a final effort, we would like to ask you to fill in a short "exit interview" form that will help us understand what we can improve by the next time we offer the class. If you have any suggestions in that regard, please do share them with us. 


Finally, some practical information as to the "next steps"

  • certification will be issued after the hard deadline for the last homework has passed (i.e. January 1). Barring any glitches in the system you should be able to download your certificate (if you earned one) in the second half of January.
  • the class material will stay online for a little longer before we take it down for "refurbishing" before the next iteration of the class.
  • for those of you who would like to take the class again, we are planning to go live again in a few months. Check back next year on the Coursera website for the actual dates.
