Course Syllabus: Bioinformatics: Life Sciences on Your Computer

Course Overview
Hello and welcome! This is a five-week course that aims to serve as in introduction to bioinformatics.  It is designed for a variety of levels and backgrounds. There will be video lectures each week. Some will be based on Powerpoint format but others are screen capture demos with narration. All videos are accompanied by supplemental reading in PDF format.

For a good view of a week's material, please click on the Reading/Practice tab on the left menu. That will summarize the reading material, videos, practice problems and assignment for that week. If anything is not clear, please bring it up in the discussion forum.

There will be several topics posted for discussion each week, but please do not feel limited to those topics. There will be a general thread for you to ask questions or make comments that do not fit the chosen topics.
