New course open now
Hello everyone,
As a past attendee of our course we hope you don't mind us emailing you to alert you to this in case you wish to attempt the course again, or you may know someone who would interested to try it. There is a new course site which lets you access the content right away – sign up at https://www.coursera.org/learn/astrobiology
Although not an essential part of the course, there is also a vibrant group on Facebook with over 5,000 members called the 'Virtual Astrobiology Society', which was set up by Coursera students in your class of 2013. You can get additional information, share ideas and information on astrobiology: https://www.facebook.com/groups/515811491814739/
Best Wishes,

Astrobiology and the Search for Life
Dear Astrobiologist,
Astrobiology and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life has begun! We hope that you enjoy the course and our material - and that you learn new things about this course and the Universe.
It goes without saying that we're not perfect. As the first students to take this course we welcome your feedback on how we can improve it and whether there are things you'd like to know more about.
In the meantime, congratulations on taking this course and thanks for joining us!

Astrobiology Course
Dear Astrobiologist,
We very much look forward to starting the Astrobiology course next week. You are in good company with over 35,000 students enrolled in the course.
We have activated the site now and although the lectures do not start until next Monday, you have an opportunity to read the discussion forums, introduce yourselves and set up study groups.
Astrobiology is a very interdisciplinary subject and in the space of five weeks we can't hope to teach you everything! So we recommend setting up study groups, communicating with your fellow students on the course and investigating this fascinating subject beyond our own lectures and information.
Best Wishes and thanks for joining us in the study of life on the Earth and the search for life beyond!
