1. Check out the Course Information link, read about the different levels of engagement and meet the course team.

2. Check that you can view the Video Lectures using the initial lectures provided. Look at the Cousera recommended browsers help page if you have any problems. The ♦ diamond mark on any video indicates it is required viewing for the "Awareness" level of the course.

3. Please take a moment to complete the Pre-course Survey so we can get some feedback on your motivation for taking the course and level of knowledge as we begin.

4. Check out the Discussion Forums, and introduce yourself and your interests if you wish.

5. If you use Twitter please follow @aiplanner to see tweets by the instructors about the MOOC. The course Twitter tag is #aiplan.

6. Look at the Course Wiki which is in a shared area accessible with your Coursera login. This will persist as a community resource after the course is complete.

7. Consider getting a (free) Second Life avatar to be ready to try the experimental Virtual Meeting Spaces. This is entirely optional.

8. To ensure you receive e-mails sent by the course instructors, please add coursera.org to your mailer "whitelist".
